Well, this is just the one I LOVE the most. There was another Tango dance which was just as great. But I Love Watlz, so personal perference.
By my limited dance knowledge, I could also see there were Hip Hop, Street Dance, Modern Dance, Several kinds of Latin Dances e.g. Salsa, Cha Cha, Ballroom dance like Waltz, Fox Trot and Tango and American Line Dance, Tap dance like in Broadway show.
And Here I must mention the two auntees sitting just beside me. They got so excited when the line dancers was on stage.
But it was the same when four half-naked male dancers was performing the hottest Street Dance. You hear all the teenage girls screaming at the top of their lungs.
Seems everybody could find something they really enjoy in this show. And I must say that all the dances were performed at a very professional level. Be it a solo pair, or a small group of 4 to 5, or a full group of 10 pairs of dancers. They have excellent 基本功 and more importantly a strong expressive power that translate to every movement they are doing.
They are able to dance the HOT dances really HOT and the Romantic ones really Romantic.
I just wanna say the show is so amazing. It was such a feast to my senses. It was totally beyond my expectation and imagination.
P.S.
Though the show was really great, but organisation work by the Singapore side was really lousy.
I only got to know the show through a promotional email to my NUS account and I got a seat which was at least 50 meters from a cornor of the stage. I thought that was due to my late purchase and all the nice seats have sold out, so no one to blame but me.
Then on the day, I arrived 2:30 at suntec for the 3:00 student show. It compressed the full length 2h to 55mins, so I didn't want to spend 48 to get the better seats. But it turned out that the tickets are far from sold out. The show was delayed until 2:30 and around 2:20 a staff walked to the left and right blocks and the very far back part of the central block(the $28 ticket part) and told us that we can move to the front where there were still empty seats. So in less than 5 mins, the originally empty rows in the $48 ticket parts are all filled. Jie and Me got really the best seats which is right facing the centre of the stage and about eye level that overlooks the emtire stage. HaHa.... This 28 ticket is really well spent for me. It will be worth at least 128 on the public Matinee show, if not 188 for evening show. And in the end, only the central block of seats was fully filled, so I estimated about 1/3 to 2/5 of tickets were actually sold. And furthermore, there are obviously non-student audience there.
