Over the land transportation is mainly by Coach or Train. There is only one Railway Company that runs nationall in US, Amtrak, and they offer student discount pass. For long distance Coach, GreyHound is the one that runs in all states. PeterPan and Bonanza only operate in a number of states on the east coast. There are Chinese Bus Companys that offer cheaper ride than GreyHound, but that is limited to cities with big chinese population symbolised by ChinaTowns, e.g. NYC, philadelphia, Washington D.C.

This is an international student card which is used to identify your student status worldwide. You have to use it to enjoy student discounts. It is valid for at least one year, so if you are going for SEP or other overseas program, you can continue using it afterwards. The travel office located in NUS science co-op offer the service.
