Did a quick research for transportation. Taking bus provides quite some flexibility. No hassle for directions, we can take a nap on bus to get recharged for the upcoming events, or simply chat through the trip.
Per the info I've got, there is a bus starting from Maxin Supermarket, 460 Hungerford Dr., Rockville, MD, picking up more passengers at Chinatown DC. Proper hour for us could be 7:00am-8:00am on Saturday. Drop-off place in NYC is 88E Broadway, Manhattan. For the return trip, schedule runs from 2:00pm to 11:00pm. Cost is $20/way, $5 off for a round trip.
