Philipp, Guus's german friend which he got to know when both were on exchanged to NUS, paid us a visit over the weekend. It is really nice to see him again after more than 1 year's time. He was the first Guus's friend I got to know.
On our way drove to the train station to pick him up, we suddenly received his call that there was a bomb alert some distance further North. So the whole train system was stopped and thus he was stucked in a transit stop called S-Hertogenbosch. Luckily the alert was false as people only found a few bricks in a bag left at the station. Nevertheless, we picked him up from a different stop.
On sunday, we first visited Biesbosch, a natural park. Then we decided to show him Breda, the nearest touristic town near Alphen.
Breda has a quite famous cathedral.
Another thing it is famous for is its shopping street. But what a pity it is closed on weekend! So I can only do windown shopping.

We have also seen interesting buildings.
这个让我想起Medalan住的长满常青藤的老房子. Do you know that cartoon?

The strangest apartment I have seen, with a dome shaped roof.

The park near by with a beautiful spring and burned down motor car.

A famous Dutch military school, I was told that the crown prince has studied here. A statue in the square.
