On Monday, I heard from the news that there was a severe Earthquake in Pakistan.

Seeing the images of the dead and wounded and the homeless Pakistanis on CNN, I really felt that this year has been a very unsmooth year.

Since the Tsunami at the end of 2004, there have always been some natural disasters. Especially in summer, one hurricane after another struck the pan-pacific countries. Just when I was in Beijing, there were already 3 hurricanes going through China (麦莎，卡努和想不起来了). And don't mention Catrina landed in US.

I think maybe this is the way that The Earth is venting his anger. For all the pollutions, global warming and..... 

And I hope the Americans will finally learn the lesson. They think they are mighty and exceptional and can have everything they want -big cars cheap oil (even if the price is war and death) and still get over with creating heavy pollutions. Now they have proved they are wrong. They are finally eating the bitter fruits they planted long ago. The increased oil price, the huge debt for the wars, and the more and more unsafe feeling people are getting.

俗话说天灾人祸。老天爷发发脾气，我们没奈何。可人祸就是自己制造的了。

Just take Iraq, first the government, then the referendum for the constitution. And now trail of Saddam. Still, the violence there has not decreased but only seems to be more and more brutal.

Palestinian and Israel are not anywhere better. The unilateral retreat of Israeli people has not resulted in peace, at least not as an immediate effect. End of last week, suicide bombing is happening again.

 
The Middle East is becoming such a dangerous place. Where is the peace and democracy The United States has promised before the wars?
