<P>The first sign that reminds me of Harry Potter is a sign at the entrance of Monicky Cafe at YIH. There is a poster for the new Harry Potter Book "The Half Blood Prince". The cafe is offering advance order. </P>
<P>Then, it was Yu who told me that she saw the new Harry Potter Film trailer. So I went to Yahoo Movie to check it out. Ah... The trailor is very short, didnt give much preview of the content of the movie. However, it did give some snapshots of our young actor/actress. </P>
<P>(if you want to see the trailors yourself, please ignore what i wrote below first.) The photographer gave 4 photos of each of Harry, Herminone and Ron from their first year to now the 4th year and you could really see the growth of the casts. I would say Daniel looks quite alright, though he probably looked cuter in the first year. Herminone has definitely grew into a beauty. For Ron, he may not become a handsome man, but i guess Ron is supposed to be like that in the book. But Ron is not the only one that changed a lot. The actors that played his twin brothers also turned out not as handsome before. And i am so disappointed that Cedric was not as handsome as it was described in the book. But the most disappointment is that there will be no Cho Chang in the movie version (she is the Asian girl Harry had a crash.) Maybe they couldnt find a suitable Asian girl to play the role?
if you have watched the last one "prisoner of azikaban" and still remember the style, i would say this one has become even darker. And Harry has kind of more become an action hero, of course with the help of computer special effect in the tri-wizard tournament.
But we really had problem recalling the previous books and the development of the story line. In the 4th one, Cedric has died. and We almost forgot there is the 5th book "order of the phenoix", which Harry's god father Black has also died. I think it would really be an good idea to re-read the 4th and then see the movie since it has been such a long time since the book came out in 2002 (i remember reading the book in the long holiday after A'level).
Last summer we watched "Azikaban" in US in Jul, this time Yu and me could probably watch "goblet of fire" in Europe since it will only come out in Nov.
very looking forward to the new book... though I think it will be even darker than the fifth one..
HP movies always turn out to be less fancinating than books... though I still buy every DVD...
so disappointed to hear Cedric is not handsome.. have been waiting so long to see the movie version..
anyway, probably will still go to cinema on the first day of release:)
