有一点难说。不同的新加坡人对中国移民有不同程度的误解。作为一个在这边修学5年的学生，每逢我开口说话暴露我的中国身份，新加坡同学可能就对我有了种种先入为主的猜测和“偏见” —— “你们住的屋子是那种木头竹子盖的吗？有鸡鸭田地？……” “你们每个人都会打乒乓很厉害吧？” “你们那边的女孩子穿衣服是不是扣到这里（男生指着颈项）？” …… 农业社会，思想比较“保守”（较少接受西方文化影响），具有“民族特征”（擅长计算、某种运动强项），深谐中国传统文化（老子、孔子的思想言论等等），一方面他们认为我们不大活跃，穿着、行为不入流，比较 uncool 甚至 funny ；另一方面又觉得我们身上带有纯粹强烈的民族文化色彩，具有某种 Authentic Chinese appeal (正宗权威的文化魅力，姑且说）——这些都是新加坡同学对我、我们、或者其他中国同胞不算很准确的了解吧。

haha~ i feel terribly dumb now for my argument is so weak. but i am still glad that i wrote what i have written. becos if not you won't have replied, and i won't have known that you DO like most of your singaporean friends. and, of cos, without my entry, i won't have "reminded" myself that despite my various whinings, i am still truly, strangely and fiercely proud as a singaporean. and, no la, i SWEAR not every Singaporean thinks of PRC citizens negatively.

But what I am really curious is, how do PRCs stereotype Singaporeans then? There is definitely a minority, or even a majority, of us who are very sua gu. These people think that Singapore is best in every area cos they haven't seen anywhere else. Not that I dun love my country la.
