It's such a delightful thing to go shopping! And it is a even more hilarious thing to do window shopping in boutiques you absolutely can't afford!

I have been into boutiques of Prada, YSL, Zegna, Miu Miu, Dior, Chanel, Tod's, Kenzo, Blackjack, Hugo Boss, Burberry, Gucci, LV, Tiffany, Hermes... just to name a few... and it's like... instantenously you grasp what's IN right now coz all these brands would be selling more or less same colors and styles at a season. And then you can make ur way to Zara, Mango, Esprit, Miss Selfridge(well not so cheap) or Topshop to look for a much much cheaper alternative. Or even better, let's fly back home to get the dirt cheap clothes, bags and shoes!

At least today I did some actual shopping! Went to the newly-refurbished Marina Square and looked for my cargo/capri short/bermuda which is so HOT this spring/summer! And finally we girls shld say Good-Bye to denim minis coz they've become too mundane n common eventhough they'll remain as a wardrobe stable coz they pair up wif anything... But do try capri shorts in well-cut straight-sharp design! Plus good textured material... 100% cotton will be too soft n easily crumpled... a bit of kahki will be perfect.

Visited Zara today and this season's clothes are gorgeous! Chic and glam! With a range of metropolitan style and another navy/military rock-mantic range... Yeah don't forget the urban safari range with stripes/leopard dots prints...(I know after NANA punk/rock is IN, but that really does not suite me, I can't even wear lace without looking too frill).

I especially love the impeccably cut capri shorts/bermuda in solid black color (for $39.90)! It makes me butt looks so mucher smaller... and my tighs slimmer! And there is this MY BEST FRIEND (with a huge diamond ring picture) printed white T-shirt ($29.90 only!), cute huh?

Another important message I got from this visit is, Zara has lowered its prices! Not after SALE prices, but all nett prices! It is now more affordable than Mango, Warehouse and even Topshop! All bermudas sold in Zara fall with price range of $39- $59, while in Topshop and Mango start well above $70! Even a pair of FOX bermuda sells for $35.90! OMG... at this rate perhaps I cld consider revamping my whole wardrobe and switching into all Zara clothes...

But in the end... I really couldn't afford that pair of Zara bermudas at the moment.... saving up every penny before I wld go hungry soon...And my Phuket and HK trip...

In the end... I bought a colorful striped cotton t-shirt from Ebase. Ebase in Marina Square is HUGE and offers a lot more than its shops elsewhere. Ebase is actually quite jappy/Taiwan/HK-fashionable... and street chic... but perhaps becoz it has numerous shops in Changsha as well... and last time when I was at home... clothes in there suck... so I dun haf a particularly good impression of Ebase...

But anyway... I actually quite liked a pair of green military bermudas from Ebase ($25 after discount). But after seeing the Zara piece, I only had eyes for that! And the striped t-shirt was just picked out to match wif the bermudas but it turned out looking fine. Just nice for casual school day. Stripes make me look surprisingly "youthful" (wat a word!) and thin! So in the end.... yeah... after consultating with Tao... I bought the t-shirt, which was totally out of plan! It wasn't even an SALE item and it's GSS time!

Now I'm thinking of cutting up my old office wear pants and modify them into capri shorts...
