昕昕来信中写了她在室友家中住了一个星期以来对基督教的感想。这是我的回信的主要部分。

Christianity? Hoho, I'm against it. Have I told you so?

I do believe in a super power. But that is not God in the Bible. God has feelings and emotions and has reasons for His actions. And the super power I believe in is emotionless, a PURE power, not a personalized power. It does not resue, forgive, punish or bless anybody. It is random, without reasoning... and I name it "fate".

As what God said in the Old Testament, "I am a jealous God", I can't imagine how the Jews and other Christains worship Him... A jealous God! And we can see in this Old Testament that how blood-thirsty this God is. And is He is almighty, why was He so frightened when Men built the Tower of Babel which would allow Men to go to the heaven without death? If He is almighty, and is merciful and good in whatever sense, why could He not stop Satan to commit crimes, not stop Eve to bite the "Forbidden apple"? And as stated in the Bible, everything in the world was created by God, including goodness and beauty--which means the evil and ugliness were also creatures of God, and He still punishes those sins in name of justice!

Well, these are all in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, or the so-called Good News, the role of God has faded, and Jesus becomes the hero instead. I like Jesus as an ordinary man in a story named the Bible, but I can't accept him as an object of worship. As a well known figure (yet I have forgotten his name) said, the New Testament has produced only two types of people, hypocrites and fools. That's pretty extreme, but I admit that I accept this saying...

People say that if I confess to God or Ave Maria or Jesus Christ, i may be forgiven for my sins. And I smile and answer, "yeah, it's so simple, you can commit crimes then confess to your God, and you can be freed--it's so cost-effecient isn't it?"

Another reason why I dislike Christainity is that the church-philis people always try to tell me why we should worship Jesus. Now and then, here and there, they keep persuading me and other free thinkers... So irritating! I just want to shout to them, "about Christainity, I know more than you do!" Of course I have not done so because of politeness.

I do not want to be a slave of any religion. I must rule my own mind. I love Buddhism as a philosophy. I take Christainity as an interest of study. And I do not BELIEVE IN either of them.
